When I request my credit report, does it hurt my credit score?

You can request your own credit report as often as you choose - without hurting your score. However, if your credit reports are requested by a third party, such as potential creditor, business or employer, each request counts as an Inquiry and can negatively affect your credit score. This is why we ask you to order your personal credit reports and send them to us.
