You should enroll in a paid credit monitoring program so you can receive alerts as changes happen with your credit. Statistically, fewer than 10% of the population look at their credit report annually, to check whether there are any incorrect entries which are damaging their credit score. Most people don't find out that something is wrong until they want to buy a home, a car or re-finance a property and their application is rejected!

Take a look at what one study revealed:

  • 80% of the Credit Reports contained significant mistakes
  • 25% contained mistakes that would result in the rejection of credit applications
  • 55% contained personal identifying data that belonged to a stranger, was long out-of-date or otherwise incorrect
  • 30% of Credit Accounts that had been closed by the consumer were incorrectly reported as being in debt
